From my shop on Torrance Blvd, I'm about 12 minutes from Carson.
Daikin's mini-splits are essentially neck-and-neck with Mitsubishi at the premium tier. The FTXS and FTX series are excellent. Where Daikin really shines is multi-zone setups in larger homes — they handle uneven loads better than Mitsubishi in my experience. Their central AC line (sold under Goodman and Amana badges) is solid mid-tier; the Daikin-badged Fit ducted unit is premium and worth specifying. In Carson specifically, way less ocean breeze than Torrance, several degrees hotter in summer, and the refinery air can do a number on outdoor coil fins.
Why Daikin in Carson
